There are wineries within walking distance and Pinhao is a short drive away. We highly recommend staying at Casa do Santo because it provides an authentic Douro experience that can't be matched."

"Location was good, difficult getting taxis between 12 - 1 (2 told us they were on lunch) - waited almost an hour as walk to steep with luggage. Staff were very kind and helpful, but also not around for 20 when we arrived. Jacuzzi was out of order. Amazing views and terrace with a pool, nice grounds, good lunch (sandwiches) and wine, rooms modern but small (it's Europe). We would stay again! Loved hotel cat!"

"Remarkable property, grand spaces, pool overlooking wine covered hills. Ask for corner room if possible, it came with small balcony and views from multiple directions. The Quinta is located at the end of the most interesting winding road up from Pinhao."

The prepared dinners were great, especially for those of us who did not want to head back down into Pinhao. The breakfast was wonderful, although they lacked eggs. The only real negative is how to get to the property and, less so, the parking. The directions from Pinhao do not reflect the steepness and the very narrow streets that you have...

The property was beautiful and conveniently located. The whole staff treated us like family specially Agnes. She was amazing. She was so helpful and even booked our dinner reservations one night. "We booked a room with 1 double bed and one single or twin bed in the same room, the hotel on the other hand seemed not to be aware of that and after being sent in a room with only one double bed we needed to change rooms, the advertised pool is empty, the breakfast is good, overpriced for what you get."

"Accommodation is in the outbuildings of a manor house in a lovely village high in the Douro wine region. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful and we had a great meal with tasting of wine and port made from vines in the estate. "

"We had a wonderful two nights at this peaceful oasis. The silo rooms are charming, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful views. Joao, the host, was accommodating, friendly, and welcoming.
