"Great hotel for San Francisco. We picked a corner view room a little more expensive but views of SF to die for brilliant. Good options for grabbing a bite to eat and good site for trams and mini buses."

"This hotel is a bit outdated but overall fine; however, when you book be aware that the shuttle times to the airport and very limited. They essentially don’t run at all from 10:00-5:00 PM and they only run every 45 minutes. This should be posted on the website before booking, as it is misleading! "

"I think for the area it’s very beautiful and worth the price. I must admit the area it’s around isn’t the best but once you pass the bridge it’s really nice. Staff was nice at check in and make your stay comfortable. Rooms looked clean and new. I only stayed for the night as a emergency but I would stay there if I planned on going to Oakland again. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch with a couple of different snacks and food. Not too big but enough to enjoy. We had breakfast outside...

"Very convenient for downtown. Old but clean and great service. If you are bothered by street noise try and get a room high up maybe. Also no a.c. which was not an issue for my stay but if the weather was really hot might trouble some. Was there for conference - worked out great."

"It seems to be relatively safe in the area. The location is convenient to get on the major highways. The room I stayed has a view of Bay Bridge. The downside is that it doesn't seem to have ventilation in the toilet/bathroom."

"Clean and great location. Could walk to pier 39 or the wharf with no effort. Numerous dining venues within easy walk. Staff and parking were great. "

"Very good stay. Pickwick is a 4-minute walk from the Powell BART station and the Powell cable car turnaround. Plenty of restaurants and bars in around the hotel. The bar and restaurant connected to Pickwick is good. Overall service at Pickwick is excellent."

"This place has the biggest rooms for the price, but you’ll find that the rooms are a little rough around the edges. A hook was broken off the mirror, there were dings and stains on the furniture. When we arrived there was a big moth in our room, which isn’t the worst but it made me wonder how it got in if we had kept the sliding door closed. Also 20 for parking with no valet? I like the lobby water station along with the morning tea and coffee with pastries! My upgraded king room was so comfortable and an unexpected blessing that I so appreciated! I loved the small quaint environment of this hotel! I had a great experience staying at Hotel Griffon! "
