"This is an unusual property but served us well for a short visit. We booked at the last minute and our options were limited, next time I might prefer to be in the city center, but this is conveniently located next to the “Bone Church”. It would be great for a family with children, although I don’t think that we were the only childless guests."

Pardubice became a town sometime around 1340. Back then it was owned by the Lords of Pardubice, the most prominent figure of the line being Arnošt of Pardubice, the first Archbishop of Prague, advisor and friend to Emperor Charles IV, a distinguished European personality of that time. Buildings on the square and adjacent streets bear the oldest traces of early gothic architecture. The neo-renaissance city hall of Pardubice is the main focal point. Pardubice lies on the point where the Labe and Chrudimka rivers meet and dates back to more than 700 years. The emblem, which Pardubice has been using as its symbol since the 12th century, is created from a silver horse on a red background. The city experienced its greatest flourishing during the time, when the estate belonged to the noble family the Pernštejns, who gave the historical centre of Pardubice’s its appearance.
