7.8 out of 10, Good, (25 reviews)
"Easy to find and a 5 minute walk to the harbour and it's restaurants. Some parking immediately outside and a fairly large free car park 20 yds away but looked busy.
LOTS of stairs. If you have mobility issues, not for you. The website photos are mainly of the premium 6th floor rooms. We were on the 3rd floor and climbed 49 steps to get there.
Room was small and basic, very old furniture. little storage and a tiny shower room. Balcony was massive, bigger than the room. Air con worked.

Staff were overall very friendly, lovely pool and garden area with pool bar also a lobby bar too. 500 metres easy flat walk to the cafes and beach of Matala, but far enough away to be chilled and peaceful I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Matala"

15. Sfinias Hotel
Sfinias HotelFaistos
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (24 reviews)
"The location was in a remote place, I would say quite private. At the property there is a taverna also.
The staff was friendly.
The view from the room balcony was very nice.
Close to the hotel is a nice small beach with umbrellas.
The air conditioning unit was a little old and quite loud (so hard to sleep with it).
