We booked 9 rooms, and every single one was clean, spacious, and very well equipped for short or longer stays, with plenty of drawers and storage to truly settle in. They were exceptionally thoughtful, even asking our schedules so they could plan maintenance around our time out exploring. The location is perfect—easy walk to the pier, shops, dive centers, and excursions. Hot showers with great water pressure and plenty of fresh water available to refill bottles were big pluses. Highly recommend Mainao Hotel for comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality in the Galápagos."

"The accommodations were worth the price, and the hotel service was good. But pass on the restaurant in the evening. It is not where you want to be waiting for food after trekking all day. The staff is nice, is very nice, but insufficient, and I waited 90 minutes for my simple meal on the terrace. Also, there is major construction next door with heavy equipment on the adjacent wall — not relaxing. I suspect this work will be done by summer, 2026. "

"The apartment was fully stocked and we received daily bread, eggs, butter, and fresh water. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The view was absolutely incredible and it was about a 5 minute walk in either direction for direct beach access. Communication with Leo and Sean was top notch throughout the entire stay. "
