"This is a grand old hotel that reflects the traditions of years ago, that has been meticulously maintained. More importantly it is clean, & the staff helpfull. In house restaurant that sends a hearty breakfast in an elegant setting."
"This is a hard review to write fairly. I loved the location and the vibe of the hotel, and it was full of Highland character and interest. It has huge potential to be a luxury lodge hotel but has become tired and worn. There has been some attempt to upgrade the bedrooms with a very good bed and decent shower but other elements are out dated, worn or damaged. "This was a lovely gem in our Scotland 500 trip. The rooms are spacious and very clean, comfortable.
The breakfast is a treat as well plenty for all.
The staff was friendly and helpful"
"Beautiful place run by helpful, friendly people. For example, they don't mind if you call them with a question, no matter how obvious the answer is. They have a lovely restaurant there with fun and friendly staff. Also, be sure to tour the area - the Northern Highlands are stunningly beautiful. We had a great time."
"We stayed for 2 nights as part of a 11 day tour of the Scottish Highlands. We had a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was continental with lots of choice and good quality and staff helpful and friendly. We would stay again."
"Pleasant traditional Highland Hotel.
Friendly and efficient check in.
Bar well stocked with pleasant adjoining lounge.
The venison dinner special was excellent.
A good stopping point on way north ."
"Gunta & the others at Beechwood lodge are so welcoming! They went out of their way to make sure we were informed, accommodated, and enjoying our stay.
The room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view from the window and breakfast was delicious and very filling.
Was a very nice stay and we'd be more than happy to stay again if we're in the area!"
"We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great - ideal base for walking up the east coast of Scotland, beach a short walk away, lovely towns to visit and good shopping nearby. The property had everything we needed - we had to buy a sharp knife, but other than that no problem. We found the wifi to be unreliable, sadly, so struggled to do more than a quick web browse."
