Hotel Don Luis closed for the season 30 September. We were moved to a sister property, Hotel Sport Village, for our reservation 1 and 2 October. Sport Village is in the outskirts of Castel di Sangro, just a short distance from Hotel Don Luis. The hotel is modern, with a pool, spa and nice grounds. Great room in a charming town close to amazing hikes! We had a room with a kitchen, which was great. We could cook, hang out on the terrace, and really relax. The town is great, but things close for a few hours each day and all day Sunday, so plan meals ahead of time. The hostess was very kind, our room was comfortable, and our stay was wonderful. Hotel parking is about a block away in the free community lot, but you can unload your bags right in front of the hotel.

Very friendly and helpful. We did not speak Italian but Nico spoke English. Very clean and nice spacious unit. Definitely read the instructions sent from Hotels.com to prepare yourself for the arrival as there is no standard 24 hour manned check in desk so you have to call the property before your arrival to let them know of your arrival.

Large apartment rooms. In the countryside but not far from Solomona - an easy drive. Friendly English speaking owner. A very good stay. It was our anniversary. The apartment was decorated for us. Breakfast is not included in the price. If you purchase a breakfast it is all packaged items.

The room was spacious and immaculate with a view that was amazing. A light breakfast was brought to us each morning at the requested time. The historic property was located right on the village piazza where the locals would gather each night for the gorgeous sunset.
