"This hotel is set up high near what is called The Mall which is a long retail street. You are not allowed to drive to the hotel as vehicle access is not allowed to the area so your bags have to be carried by porter. The hotel has spectacular views, the staff are friendly and helpfull. There is a good restaurant and importantly the location is great to walk to points of interest."

I requested a different room which I got immediately. However the view was terrible. I was overlooking some building construction next door. Not worth for a hill station visit. "This is about the worse hotel I ever stayed in. No heating working in winter. Hotel knew this and could have informed me so I could change my booking if I wished. Even lied to me saying heating would come on when they knew it has been not working for days. Staff are useless and you have to keep reminding them and chasing them for what you require. The amount of times I had to ask for bedding and a portable heater(which was like an antique). Slept wearing double layers, coats and our socks on....

Just perfect
"I booked to stay for 5 days at the Hotel Kapil. My room was simply stunning. No other way to put it. The bed was so comfortable and warm, the room and the bathroom were spotless. The view from my window was epic; an endless vista over the valley and far off mountains. The staff go out of their way to welcome you and make sure your every comfort is attended to. Room service food was delicious and served with a smile. Plenty of hot water available throughout my stay. Tea and coffee making facilities included in the room. This hotel was quite possibly the best place I stayed in during my entire 3 month tour of India. Thank you to all the team and Namaste 🙏 "
