"To call this a hotel is a stretch, its more like a guesthouse. No reception on arrival, even though published as open to 6pm (which says it all!!). Restaurant not open on arrival Sunday evening, which I was awre of, but to be told Monday evening there is only one choice of meal......this is not a Restaurant! Like others, I think this is an over priced 'guesthouse' for what it offers, even the breakfast was very basic for the overall cost. The only positive comment I could make is that there...

"A wonderful find! A quaint, small property that was perfect in every respect. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast buffet, and a spotless room. Hals is also convenient for sightseeing anywhere in N. "Arrived on Sunday around 6:00 P.M. Hotel was dark, one door was open and lights came on, but no one was there to check us in. Found a phone number on the receipt, but that didn't work. The small print non the receipt said to make arrangements if you arrive after 12:00 on Sunday. Didn't see that until we found the hotel dark and deserted. "Very warm welcome, even though we arrived later in the evening. No problem for us to cool off in the swimming pool once we had dumped our bags in our room, as the receptionist would lock up a little later. The hotel is nestled in the countryside, so parking of the motorbike wasn’t an issue."

"The hotel room was clean and recently rredecoratered as everything looks new. The bathroom was spaceous as it was accommodated for wheelchair use.
