"Eichwalde is a quiet, residential town. I was planning a couple of long days at DESY-Zeuthen, one S-Bahn stop south of Eichwalde (or a nice 45 minute walk). I typically stay in Berlin proper, but wanted to give this a try. Anyway, I had a small, but very nice, single room. Checked in late via the intercom and key lock-box. I had a German speaker with me, but it seems likely it would have worked in any case. Breakfast was quiet, food and coffee were excellent."

"The hotel is in suburban area, very difficult to reach using public transportation. 30 mins walk to the nearest bus station. I arrived at 9pm using taxi, suppose to be 20 mins from air port, but hard to find...taxi along cost the same as one night stay. Food bar closed at 8pm, and no nearby restaurant,dark outside. I m glad i reduced 1lb or twoweightby skipping dinner. "

"The property is tired, and where they seem to be replacing the beds, to be perfectly honest the entire place needs renovating, from rooms to food offerings. The rooms are incredibly noisy, I could hear a gentleman’s entire conversation on his phone next door, the bedroom doors are also incredibly thin and locked with a key (not auto lock), and the flooring is cheap laminate. All of this means that apart from the bed there is nothing in the room to absorb any sounds. Breakfast also leaves...

"This is a family planned and run hotel and pride of ownership shines through in every respect, from friendly service to cleanliness, maintenance and overall ambiance. The grounds have been thoughtfully laid out, the wellness area, pool, sauna and exercise facilities are nicely designed. We enjoyed the restaurant both nights of our stay and were happy with the,quality of food and service. Our room was spacious and we especially enjoyed the patio.
