"The lodge was seclusive but had all the basic amenities that you would need. We loved that we were in a jungle environment and woke up with nature everyday. The staff were very helful and friendly and made our stay welcoming. Fiona's Cafe had amazing food for breakfast and dinner, with reasonable prices. We enjoyed our stay very much! "

"This is a very special property in the jungle. The food prepared at the restaurant was superb. There was a lovely infinity pool that we were able to enjoy. (Temps were in the mid-90s) We stayed in one of the treehouses and loved it. Very well appointed. Pretty pathways throughout the property. Be sure to visit the green iguana rescue in San Ignacio. The property's location is handy for Mayan ruins and cave tours. Love this place."

"Love the lodge feel and extremely kind and helpful staff. Our family stayed for three nights. Since driving the last mile was a little challenging, we opted to have dinners every night at the Lodge. Great service and wonderful food, but a bit on the pricier side compared to eating in town. We did the ATM excursion through the lodge. Xuanantunich was so close, we opted to drive via our rental and hired a private guide for $50 on-site. We did tubing on-site which was a flat 30-minute walk about...

"We enjoyed our stay at Mariposa, the tone was set the moment we arrived. We checked in late and I went to go run in to give our information, our server Robby insured that he needed to greet us properly and asked all our guests to come in for a welcome drink which we thoroughly enjoyed, the kitchen was also waiting on to offer us dinner before they went home for the evening. "Absolutely beautiful property and grounds, you feel very immersed in nature here, and can hear howler's and bird life in about every direction. The creek below is great for a dip, and the inland blue whole is an easy 15min stroll down the road (costs 4usd per person to enter) for more swimming. Cabins are rustic but clean and tastefully decorated. As someone not used to the humidity I would have loved the option of AC, lots of fans in the cabin but they don't do much in 30 Celsius. "We loved staying at Midas Belize. It’s very safe- they have a delicious breakfast and there is a grocery store right across the street. It’s very close to tour options and other shopping, yet it is quiet, safe and comfortable in the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and the room was clean."
