"The Hotel is very large in size and the staff were very pleasant and helpful organising a driver to take us out of the area to visit all the places of interest we would not see otherwise. Kurunegela itself is not geared up for tourism and is more your local town. So there is a need to travel out. The Hotel is tired with the decor and carpets needing to be replaced and an overall update required. The restaurant choices are limited and overall the Hotel and the area does not cater for europeans"

Grounds beautifully maintained. Food fine. A pleasant ambience for relaxing. Across the road from the Elephant Orphanage. Close to other Elephant Charities and the Elephant Poo Paper factory which was an interesting visit."

"A bit of an adventure getting to the hotel as it is located at the top of a very steep drive way that meanders though a coconut and pepper plantation. Once there however, the views are great and the ambiance tranquil. The balcony overlooks tree tops, which for anyone seeking a quiet hideaway, this place is perfect."

"The room was really nice! I wasn't expecting much from the outside but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a great value and I would recommend staying here for seeing the Elephant Orphanage. I was a litte disapointed in the breakfast and not at all happy with the dinner at the restaurant. The hotel was great though."

Most of all the owner is a physician and should know better about cleanliness. Did not stay, had to find alternate accommodation at a very high price since it was last minute. My family and I have been using Expedia for a long time for all our travel needs and I have to say that I am disappointed that you guys had something like this...
