"This out of the way Parador is perfect if you want a quiet stay with stunning views. It's an older property and some of the fixtures/fittings in the bathroom are tired but on the plus side - shower pressure was good and everything was very clean and we had a great nights sleep. The resturant served tasty local food - very nicely prepared and presented. The staff were attentive and friendly - we would visit again if in the area."

"We experienced a warm welcome, the room was as you would expect in a building of this period. The bed was not very comfortable but the hot bath made up for it.There was a nice view of the mountains from the window. We ate in the restaurant and although the starter (goats cheese and caramelized onion) was delicious the Main course (Steak with roast potatoes and roast vegetables) was so salty it was inedible. "A fabulous little place, on our way back to the ferry at Santander, but in a remote corner of northern Spain. Around 15 miles off the beaten track and surrounded by gorgeous countryside but only 1.5 hours from the port. We received a warm welcome from our hostess, Karmah, who looked after our every need, supplying local information, as well as cooking us a splendid evening meal. Highly recommend to anyone visiting northern Spain. A proper little rural gem."

"Les lieux sont très chouettes, la demeure est très jolie avec beaucoup de charme. Un bémol car l hôtel a annulé notre deuxième nuit sur place malgré notre réservation et bien que des chambres restent disponibles sur le site. Dans les détails a améliorer, le lieu est très calme mais on entend un peu les chambres d'a côté, le petit déjeuner est un peu cher mais très bon et il y avait une petite odeur dans la salle de bain. On a quand même pris la carte pour le recommander! Super endroit!"

Excellent hotel with tranquil setting
"Stopped for two nights with my husband on a motorbike trip to the Picos. We loved staying here. We had a beautiful balcony view looking out on to farm land and mountains and could hear the birds singing. So tranquil. Loved all the geranium window boxes. So pretty. Staff were very friendly and we got by with speaking English and a little Spanish! The accommodation was very clean and the beds very comfortable. We could have parked the bike in the garage as pre arranged but felt it was safe to leave the bike at the front of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, not a cooked breakfast , apart from fried eggs and pancakes on one day but plenty of choice and delicious. The restaurant for an evening meal was in a separate building up a hill on the other side of the road. It was only open 1 of the two nights we were there but the quality of the food was excellent and generous portions. The hotel was a perfect position for exploring the Picos and we preferred the more tranquil spot rather than stopping in Potes. Found it a bit tricky to find the entrance to the hotel at first. Think cars had to park on roadside but we could park the bikes in front of the property which was excellent. Wish we'd booked another night. Would I stay again...Yes, definitely. Sad to leave ."
