"I was pleasantly surprised during our last visit to the Hotel. We used it as a halfway stop on the way back from Kimberly. The front-of-house was very friendly, good vibe in the restaurant/pub and the food was very good. One does have to realise it is a "vintage" hotel and if you would be so inclined, one could find fault everywhere. But I will definitely return again. The bedding was excellent and the bed massive! There were no amenities in our room when we arrived, not even toilet paper but this was quickly sorted out by staff once we notified them. Wi fi didn’t work throughout the stay. The bathroom is small with a shower only but adequate for an overnight stay. The pool was lovely and clean and the garden well kept. All in all a good option for a quick stay on the Jhb to Cape journey"
