"For a basic hotel, very good. No AC (but they never said there was, so that's OK). What I liked is that it was very quiet outside our room, so having the windows open on a hot night wasn't a problem. And in contrast to many hotels, while they had a duvet on the bed, they also provided a very light blanket, so it wasn't an all or nothing covering situation. And they had extra pillows. Towels were threadbare, and (like many European hotels) very difficult to get our bags to the hotel. It's...

"Funky parking. Small lot nearby was full and the public parking garage isn’t convenient. It’s free overnight but the meter starts ticking at 8am. My room had really inconvenient place to plug in and charge -everything had to be on the floor. Weird that in this day and age a hotel would make it so inconvenient. "We first stayed here as the Bella Lui Hotel but it is now run by a youth hostel organisation. It has lost the charm of the private hotel and is now, because it is a hostel, more functional. The period furniture and ornaments have been replaced by standard facilities.
