"Really nice hotel very clean good parking down side for me is I left at 06:00 but reception seem to be unattended , no lights etc so I was unable to get a receipt for my stay also odd was there didn’t seem to be a box to drop my key into and I didn’t fancy leaving it in the room as you need the key to lock the door when you leave "

"Little bit of confusion at check in which was quickly and easily sorted out by the staff. Apparently hotels.com and the hotel aren’t compatible when booking so I’d call ahead if you are staying here to cover any issues before you arrive. Either way, we got a room that we were expecting and breakfast. Room was large and comfortable, very clean."

"Everything was very good. However having to go downstairs for milk when you expect some milk in the room and only have to go down for extras. The hotel staff and stay was excellent. Do be aware that the carpark is private and costs a lot! This will stop me staying next time "

"An excellent place to stay. Our room was exceptional - lots of lights and sockets everywhere. Food was really good too; best breakfast we’ve ever had. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I would definitely recommend."

"The Hoel is located within two minutes walk of the centre of town which has many places to eat, drink, shop etc. Staff are fantastic. My room although a bit dated was large and very comfortable with all expected amenities. Excellent value for money and highly recommended. "

"A warm welcome, large comfortable bedroom with a modern shower room. The breakfast is buffet style with good choice of options, the restaurant has a good menu and the portions are very generous. We would definitely stay again."

"Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. There were a couple of issues with my room, but they were sorted straight away. This is a very basic 'dry' hotel originally built for offshore rig workers so set your expectations accordingly. That said it's about a third of the price of the posh one next door which does have a bar. The airport check-in desks are about 600m away, ish, so a very easy walk. The bed was comfortable and roomy for one, but two might be 'cosy'. Also, surprisingly quiet....

"The first thing I would point out is the the staff, to a person, were friendly, helpful, happy to answer our questions and in my opinion the hotels best asset. We experienced different people doing the same role over our two days, they all were the above. Prior to booking in, we had endured a six and a half hour journey from Hertfordshire, with the A1 a virtual cark park at certain points, this included being taken on a one way street tour of central Hull once we had crossed the Humber Toll...

"This was an older building, so it had a few areas that didn’t work well. (Room size, the loo, noisy hallway) The staff is excellent, eager to help and quickly answered any questions we had. The food in the pub was very nice and the service was great. "

"We stopped overnight for the night before getting the ferry. Apartment was central and huge. 3 bedrooms, 2 ensuite with a large living and kitchen area. Staff were wonderful prior to stay allowing us late checkout and arranging lockbox for key as we arrived late. "
