"My stay at Gorilla Valley Lodge was wonderful. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the gardens and properties are beautiful with views overlooking the forest (including the mountain where we did our gorilla trek!). The restaurant area sits atop a hill overlooking a valley with 360 views of the mountains and scenery. The entire property is very peaceful and the restaurant served a three-course meal every evening. The rooms were clean with little welcoming touches when we arrived....

"We made a booking for this place to discover they were overbooked and we left standing in the lobby clueless what was going on for 2 hours. The manager completely ignored us taking calls intentionally when we were trying to resolve the situation. They downgraded us to a standard and expected us to pay full price until we called them out on this blatant deception. "We stayed here for just one night unfortunately as we would have loved to stay longer. The staff does everything to help with planning trips. They work with very devoted guids. For us Elisabeth arranged our guide Christmas who took us to the waterfall and learned us a lot of birding in Uganda. He also took care of the last minute permits for the gorilla tracking.
