"It is apparently an old building that has been renovated to a hotel. And a good job. All rooms are different, some small bare bones, some large. I had a room with kitchen area with fridge and micro and separate large sitting area. Another room (where I did not stay) had an impressive sauna. Hotel is 200 meters from railway station and in the center of town with walking distance to university institutions (which I visited). Many restaurants and cafes within a few 100 meters."

"An imaginative transformation of an old engine shed into a modern hotel and restaurant that is a delight. About a km from the station and readily accessible by car. A very comfortable, quiet room that was really a small apartment with kitchen facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay without qualification. "

"Located on harbour but no sound can be heard in hotel. Foot passenger's check in at hotel for ferries. Room large and clean even if a little basic. Soap in holder as now the normal. Food provided in with price. Cake and coffee mid afternoon. Evening meal was very nice and plenty to eat. We left before breakfast so they packed a bag and left it for us in a fridge. The star of the show was the receptionist. Perfect English and very helpful and informative "

"There were a supermarket and a botanical garden near-by which were very nice."

"Need to have information about the facility and its amenities in English also. Housekeeping did not come one day to change the towels or make the bed. Staff was very helpful when this was brought to their attention and provided fresh towels. Thank you!"

"This hotel is a bit tired. The garden bar is good but sofas old and uncomfortable. Bar staff excellant. Needs aircon as very warm and dry. Lots of people coughing all through breakfast. Basic room would have been better with coffee machine . The beds were extremely soft so not good for some people . The price was good but clearly paying for location not hotel. "

"Jag är mycket missnöjd med min vistelse på Ängavallen. Tyvärr var ingen restaurang öppen besvärligt då hotellet har ett mycket isolerat läge. Servicen var under all kritik och det rum jag blev tilldelat så kallt och rått (känsla och lukt som i en källare) att det var riktigt obehagligt. Frukosten var i minsta laget och även de lokalerna var ganska råkalla. När jag påpekade dessa saker blev jag väldigt(!) illa bemött av en man i personalen som checkade ut mig. Det trevliga hotell jag hade väntat...
