"Amazing stay this weekend at Ashdown. We were able to play tennis, use the driving range, lunch and walk around the grounds all before checking in. Room was beautiful and clean with a great view! Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast also great and generous portions. Service fantastic! "

"Overall a decent hotel. Cooked breakfasts were particularly nice. Delicious smoked kippers with hard boiled eggs and toast soldiers. Excellent coffee from the coffee machine. Would have liked larger portions of fruit salad and plain yogurt to be offered in breakfast buffet (was provided on request). Bed comfortable. Kettle and fridge very welcome. Room perhaps needed a little more storage space. Climbing into bath perhaps a little difficult for our height - 5 foot 6 inches. Room had air...

"We realy enjoyed our stay. The proprietor, Jazz, couldn't have been more helpful or friendly, arranging check-in time at our convenience. It is a little noisy on a busy road, but has good double glazing, was quiet between 11pm and 6 am, and with ear-plugs we slept very well and uninterrupted. Highly reccommended. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Bannatyne spa hotel. The executive double room was spacious and relaxing with a queen sized bed. The spa/leasure facilitates were very good. Just a shame we had to pay extra for that. "

"Excellent over night trip for work, originally booked for 1 night but enjoyed it so much stayed a second! Locals lovely and friendly, staff are helpful and welcoming. Rooms are basic but ideal For an overnight work trip or for the football near by, there is NO parking, its a side road of if you’re lucky you may get in the tiny courtyard at the side of the hotel. Local shop next door and a takeaway for the nights they dont do food. Will stay again 100%"
