"The property is absolutely gorgeous. There were wonderful views and lots of wildlife. We stayed in a basic room and it was more than adequate. Some of the reception area staff were not nice and gave conflicting information about the free hotel shuttle. Most of the other staff were very nice though. Be aware if you want to explore the property there is a lot of inclines. Walking to and from the very nearby Biesanz beach was strenuous on the steep incline but very worth it. "We loved our stay in Luxury Standard Room 209 at Tulemar. We saw squirrel monkeys daily from our balcony, and toucans, sloths, scarlet macaws, leaf-cutter ants, frogs, bats, and iguanas on the grounds also. The private beach was never crowded, and we appreciated the complimentary umbrellas and chairs, as well as the ability to order food and drinks from Tule Cafe while on the beach. "Something I don't think is clear enough, The rooms are inside a restaurant. We stayed in one of the two rooms inside the building (it looks like there were additional tents on the property). The staff were friendly and helpful, we were provided our welcome drink upon arrival and able to check in early.
