"First impressions were slightly underwhelming, but ignore those, the hotel is excellent and the staff are great. The food was wonderful and the pool was lovely. To swim and watch kites and eagles overhead is a rare pleasure and now a glorious memory. Criticisms - the room tended to get quite hot and there is public transport but it’s a bit of a walk away, but those a minor criticisms. On the main question - would I go back? Yes. Gladly. "This is a hotel you'll want to return to. The location is superb, right in the heart of the Black Forest. The rooms are very comfortable, with balconies and views of the mountains and forest. They have everything you need, except for the minibar. The breakfast is fantastic, with the option of ordering egg dishes. A wide selection of cheeses, sausages, vegetables, and fruits is available. Champagne is also available. The staff is ready to help with any questions. The spa complex consists of several saunas and a small pool. There's a panoramic sauna, but it's not very conveniently located. There are a lot of steps. Conclusion: a fantastic hotel for a relaxing holiday."
