"Lovely room, although the bathroom smelt a bit damp. The restaurant was excellent for both dinner and breakfast 5 stars for the chef and waiting staff. I used the pool which was lovely too, although the floor in the ladies changing room was dirty and a bit slippery. Sauna was nice - would definitely book again."

"Everything was lovely. The room was a standard room, but very nice, clean, with everything you could want and well laid out. The hotel has a lovely feel, very calm and peaceful and relaxing. Upmarket, but in a nice way, where you feel at ease and comfortable. Staff are lovely, nothing too much trouble, extra pillows, towels etc. if you need them. I asked for non-feather pillows/bedding, which was done with no problems. The pool and sauna were lovely, with excellent opening times. The restaurant...

"Excellent friendly staff very clean hotel though out the only thing that could have been better was the lunch and dinner menu not much choices also I noticed pool quite cold for me and shower and bath water was just warm not hot and I like a hot bath not a warm bath. "

"A very tired hotel, rooms & spa facilities. Bedrooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. Our sink & bath didn’t drain. The hand soap dispenser didn’t work. The spa is exceptionally tired. Mould around the sinks. Breakfast had a good selection but it had all been sat out for some time. Overall, a disappointing stay I wouldn’t recommend it. "

"Room was ok shower door was broken we had bed and breakfast and had arranged with proprietor 8.30am we were told breakfast would be inthe bar.We turned upat 8.30 bar was locked we went back to the room and returned at 9.15 still the bar was locked so we went to witherspoons for breakfast returned at10.25 everywhere was still locked what on earth is going on with this place wil be complaining to greene king "
