"At in superb grounds and a golf course, as you drive up the long entrance road and look at the view over the Firth of Clyde you will be delighted. Checkin was quick and the team there extremely helpful. Comfortable room and bed only thing missing is air conditioning as it was a warm night. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet with plenty of choice. Due to the amount of stairs and no lift (elevator for the Americans) to get to the rooms I suspect it’s not accessible to all but there may be rooms...

"We loved this hotel. The staff were really kind and attentive. The whole hotel was beautifully furnished and relaxing. We had a lovely walk in the grounds with a breathtaking view of Lock Ard. "A truly lovely experience. It's nice that a hotel chain takes staffing numbers and training so seriously. The staff were excellent, attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and polite. The food was also top notch and my fillet steak was one of the best I have ever had. Everything was very clean. The only slight annoyance was dogs in the restaurant. As I am allergic, I don't think that policy is particularly fair."
