"The hotel was lovely but - regrettably - it was hosting a large wedding and reception on the first of our two nights' stay. They hadn't warned us, yet we were given a room adjacent to the thoroughfare from the reception venue. As a consequence, we had little sleep on our first night at all. The guests in the adjacent room had a spat at a little after midnight over who one of them had been dancing with (and how)! When that ended, we were woken again at about 1:45 am by a group arguing outside who had stopped en route to their rooms; I got up to chase them.off. we them struggled to sleep afterwards . I explained the situation to the manager and staff who offered a potential discount to be discussed when next we booked. We won't be rebooking."

"Fantastic hotel ,not just for golfers!! Dont look any further. Clean large classic twin room ,two double beds. Wonderful spa pool ,steam room,sauna facilities. Would highly recommend"

"No plug in bathroom hand basin. 2 lightbulbs not working. Divet ripped on seam. Room cold no heating or extra blanket."

"We have stayed here quite a few times now, our welcome is usually happy and warm, this time the member of staff was cold and uninterested. We are members, our account was not linked, we have never paid for parking in the past, this time it was demanded (however, on our astonishment the member of staff removed the charge) this is a stealth charge, a huge carpark out of the city centre should not be chargeable for hotel guests, this is disgusting! We normally love this hotel because it has easy uber links to the centre whilst still providing country walks, the staff are usually extrememly welcoming and interested in making your stay fantastic this time it felt flat and uneasy on arrival. Our room was as usual, and fairly clean however, the major fail of our stay this time was the duvet and cover, the duvet was miles too small for the cover this meant my husband was covered but i was covered only by the duvet cover not the duvet, i did not sleep. I reported this to the front desk on departure she said that they are available 24 hours, i said that in the middle of the night this would not have been an option, she offered a drink, we were leaving for a walk, it would not have been an appropriate resolve, i declined. Breakfast was good and extensive we really enjoyed this as usual. We are staying again in July and bringing my parents for birthday celebrations, i really hope we have the experiences we have been used to in the past, a warm welcome and a comfortable nights sleep."

"Friendly welcome, check-in desk in an awkward place, feel like your in the way of the bar staff or customers queuing the bar. Causing an obstruction with suitcases for someone wherever you stand. Room spacious and clean, plenty of tea, cofee milk etc provided. Had dinner, which was good and even had a go at the quiz! Breakfast the following morning was ok. There seemed to be some sort of staff meeting going on at one part of the dining room, and so there wasnt much instruction on what to do with regards helping yourself to tea or coffee etc, or care taken to provide much of a service, ordered at the bar, i had an omelette and it tasted a bit burnt in places. Server looked like she was the only one working and hence why maybe she didnt look happy to be there, but she wasnt rude at least. "

"Parking was great, easy to access, check in was simple and quick. Room was okay, no shaving plug in bathroom to charge toothbrush which for us unfortunately needed charging. The biscuits were a nice touch as they were freshly made. Milk for tea and coffee limited and we had to ask for more which was provided by reception. Comfortable bed and we slept okay but no air conditioning, in the summer I can see this being more of an issue. No wardrobe or draws in room apart from a few hangers on the wall so we had to leave our bags packed. Breakfast was nice, you get filter coffee but there is an additional charge if you want a cappuccino which was a first for us. "

"On the whole enjoyed our one night stay. Property is lovely and our ground floor room was clean and warm. Only downside was black mold on the shower tray edge but the power shower was awesome.The breakfast room is nicely decorated and the food on offer was of excellent quality and well cooked.goos continental selection. Overall it is a lovely hotel and we would stay again."
