"We stayed for 2 nights as part of a road trip of Northern Spain. This hotel surpassed all our expectations and is a very relaxing oasis in what is a busy tourist town. The staff are all extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. "

"Hotel is very good situated, territory is beautiful. Perfect cleaning. Some facilities, however, need to be renewed, one of the doors of our wardrobe was missing, room keys were constantly not working, had to address reception every day. Though, it did not impede our good rest. "

"Beautiful historic building with lovely gardens and spa pool. Friendly staff and decent restaurant. We booked a family suite which wasn’t really set up for 3 people other than a sofa bed in the lounge area. Only 2 bottles of water, 2 chairs on the patio and 2 comfortable chairs inside. Would have scored 5 stars across the board if they could better accommodate 3 people."

"Santillana del mar is a fantastic medieval town and the parador hotel is right in the heart of it, with a building matching the sUrroundings inside and out. We loved the rooms with balconies overlooking the coirtyard and huge shuttered windows. A wonderful place to explore on foot, and the nearby altamira caves. We also visited comillas- another great place to explore, with a whimsical house designed by anton gaudi."

"We booked as 2 families with small children.. We booked 9 months in advance. We were given rooms on different floors. They were not interested in helping to overcome. A coach arrived when we were trying to book in. A line up of over 60 people with 1 person on reception. Spoke to manager in morning. Probably the rudest manager I’ve dealt with. Warning.dont book normal double room. They are horrible and on top floor with dormer window. Claustrophobic. Breakfast is poor. All...

We travelled from Biarritz, France into Spain and through Navarra, the Basque country and into Cantabria - and we fell in love with this boutique hotel and the village of Riocorvo.
