"Two nights stay. Beaune is an interesting old town. Plenty of restaurants but all with similar menus. Hotel is comfortable but the room was sparsely furnished.. Whoever designed the bathroom needs their head examining. To get to the toilet you have to open the door and then step into the shower, then close the door. Also the bathroom light shines straight into the face of anyone in bed. Very conducive to romantic nights "

Excellent staff with helpful recommendations and assistance with restaurant bookings, etc. Very good breakfast with fresh juices, pastry, cheeses and cooked eggs or omelettes available upon request. We were in a top level room which was on the third floor - be aware there is no lift as you would expect staying in a heritage building. Unfortunately the inside of the property doesn’t have the character remaining in most of the rooms , and some of the decor is odd and not in keeping with the standard of finish I would expect in such an elegant building .
