Top Frankenhoehe Hotel Reviews
Hotel Eisenhut
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The property is pure grandeur—rich in history and boasting an incredibly elegant design. Staying here feels like escaping directly into medieval times, yet you still enjoy all the comfort, luxury, and cleanliness of the modern world. I would absolutely return in a heartbeat if I have the chance to come back. The breakfast buffet was beautiful, offered an amazing selection, and was worth every single penny. The only minor downside was a slightly frustrating policy regarding morning coffee. When I tried to bring my coffee back to my room to enjoy it while getting ready, the waitstaff informed me that I had to pay extra just to take it out of the dining room. This didn't make much sense to me, but it was a small blip in an otherwise beautiful experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and historic getaway!"
Hotel Rappen Rothenburg ob der Tauber
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed for 2 nights. The location was relatively close to the places we wanted to visit. Our room was clean and spacious. The included breakfast was excellent, with a variety of hot and cold offerings. We would certainly stay here again. One small criticism -- we had booked a "junior suite" in order to have a larger sized bed but had not realized that this "suite" was a "2-story" unit in an unattached second building. Fortunately, the weather was good and walking to the main building for breakfast was not a problem. All in all, this was a minor "complaint" and we were quite satisfied with our stay. Regarding parking, we did not use a car but the hotel's parking lot seemed quite ample."
Hotel Herrnschloesschen

"Perfectly located and full of ambience little hotel. We had room #6 on the second floor with a view of the old cathedral and one of the picturesque streets. All is though, from easy valet parking upon arrival, to ample breakfast, and all the necessary small things in the room and the bathroom one can think of. The staff consists of just a few people who are all very pleasant and helpful. Unless you come during the worst heat wave, it is hard to think of a better place to stay in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. A word of warning to our fellow A/C addicted Americans. A/C is only available in a couple of suites, not in all the rooms. We resorted to what is called "Bavarian A/C": keeping heavy curtains closed all day and fully opening windows in the middle of the night so that the relatively cool night air comes in. It worked on days when temperatures were max 86-88F (under 30C). Lucky us! If we were to come in the following days, when another heat wave was around 96F, we would be "cooked"."
