"This is probably my first hotel review. I felt I needed to get a review as a thank you to the exceptional service we received at this place. They could not have been more accommodating and nicer. The hotel location is a probably the best location I have ever been too; truly breathtaking. I strongly recommend it."

"OMGosh this is the prettiest hotel. Right on the Douro River. Every nook is a surprise. All the rooms are slightly different so choose wisely and be specific. We had a wonderful dinner in the the restaurant. All the food was very good, just be aware if you have food restrictions etc. as "no dairy/milk" seems to be get confused. Just ask to speak to someone who knows as they actually pride themselves on being able to accomodate Gluten and Dairy free . Having said this, the breakfast is super nicely done. You will not be dissappointed."
