"A lovely big room , loys of storage and fridge , tea / coffee, free safe , proper hangers huge bathroom lovely towels . Aircon not great , and view not great . Breakfast was excellent, fresh, lovely bread and butter , fresh fruit, huge choice. Reception staff unsmiling but efficient. Lacked any local knowledge , and guides us to visit the centre for shopping , as opposed to a local shopping mall, but in fact the shops and cafes were all closed . "I thought the staff was excellent!! Very friendly & helpful. The bathtub is dangerous to stand in and take a shower. It’s very slippery, and getting out without anything other than a glass door that is bit sucre and moves is not good. My bed was made, but noticed someone else’s hair was still on the sheets with some dead insects. Last but not least, the chemical odor in the hallway is horrible. Not sure how they can’t smell that and not get sick from it."

"We wanted a hotel near motorway as an easy overnight stop. Unfortunately access to hotel from motorway was more complicated than it looked. Rooms OK, although one door could not be operated by keycard and the aircon could only be operated on/off by switch in fusebox. Dinner no more than OK, breakfast paltry. Generally average service in restaurant. On checkout, hotel's card payment system not functioning so we had to make a separate transfer later"

"The hotel is beautifully decorated and furnished in keeping with the style of the property but with all the modern conveniences and the staff are all so friendly. Breakfast was delicious and there is an excellent restaurant next door for dinner. Its an easy 15 minute walk through the park opposite to the town center and I felt very safe as a single female."
