Paid for a mountain view but couldn't see them because trees obstructed the view. Guests should be aware that the property is about 15 kilometres before the town of Mantegias and is quite isolated. The breakfast is self service with everything laid on for you and is of a high quality. The spa facilities are good, the pool has powerful jets that massage well and the staff are welcoming. The gym is small but user friendly. Situated just outside the lovely town of Penamacor in this sleepy area of Portugal, you get a real treat of a retreat here. I will come again and highly...

"Property is a lovely old Convent modified to a Hotel. At the time we were there they were having work done in the main lobby area. Restaurant was good except did not have on hand an English menu for those who dont speak Spanish, French or Portuguese...Front desk helped out here by printing one off. Hotel and Restaurant staff excellent."

"Beautifu and new location. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We originally planned a one night stay and decided to extend it one more night. Location is calm and quite overlooking the Serra da Estrela. The location is a short and beautiful drive to Fundão and Covilhã. Highly recommend this location . You will not be disappointed."

Breakfast was amazing and they have a highly rated restaurant attached that was truly fantastic. We had a wonderful stay and only a short drive to the most amazing scenery at Sera da Estrella park!
