The spa services are very good. Every once in awhile there were some weird smells that were not pleasant, but overall great place to stay."

"Very basic rooms and unwelcoming reception staff: Swan tower Novo Hamburgo is said to be a 4 star hotel from the outside and in the lobby but it lacks the very basic room amenities such as a bathrobe, a pair of disposable slippers, an iron and a simple coffee jug- no 4am coffee lol unless you called over the phone (paid extra) and that would probably be a bother understandably. Bar looked amazing but it was a real struggle to get anyone to help. Always empty and unattended. Rooms were VERY basic...

"This place was fantastic and treated me and my girlfriend and her son and her babysitter amazingly well in three rooms that were close together and they treated us kindly and had fantastic room service and there is shopping and a medical center right next door and convenient parking and a road that connects everything in the city right in front. I will go there again and I enjoyed everyone that I met"

That said, it is close to the few cultural attractions listed in guide books and the web. It is on the main pedestrian street in the old city and near the wet market. Little if any English spoken by staff. Breakfast the usual fare for a brasilian hotel in this category. Room was large....
