"Check in took almost two hours due to lack of staffing. This place needs a renovation. It’s extremely outdated. Rooms are very basic and have a mildew smell. My room had mold growing in the bathroom, hairs all over the floor, and what appears to be specks of blood on the wall. The beach water here is cloudy and the bottom is slimy and muddy in spots. I’m not sure the appeal."

"Very Clean and the staff was super friendly. Do not stay at the Tamarijn if you wan't a beachy vacation. The Divi Resort next door is where you want to be for that beach vacation. The pools are way too small for this large property. There is no buffet where you serve yourself all the food you want. Staff gives you options and they cook it for you. The options and taste were decent. You will need a reservation for the speciality restaurants. The live musicians in the lobby were great. "

"Breakfast was excellent. Happy hour is 5-630pm which is a plus. Pool & Spa is kept up nice as well. Beach is just across the street with huts & chairs available (first come first serve). Reco go out early morning to reserve one with the attendants out there. Our room was clean. Only issue was the shower drain was slow so it flooded the bathroom after every shower. We used so many towels to keep the water in. Overall, great stay. "

"I had a great time at Riu Palace Aruba - the room itself was very good with a wonderful view, the facilities and stuff were very nice and friendly - trying to accommodate requests as much as possible. I celebrated my birthday at the property and they sent a chocolate cake to my room which was very sweet! Being a vegetarian, the only thing that i think could have been better was the food options in the restaurants. They were no vegetarian options which was sad but the chefs tried to make something on request."
