"Great staff, very polite. We asked for an extra bedding and they provided without any hesitation. Rooms are very clean and staff is very quick and responsive. In room dining has god options and they have midnight dining also which is a great option to have"
"The staff and the general facilities and the room were great. Just two downsides.
1. During my stay they decided to drain the swimming pool and regrout and refill. We were told that this would take two days. My time at the hotel finished after 4 days and the pool was still not open. It would have been a good idea to do this maintenance work during the low season rather than with a hotel full of holidaymakers.
2. Strangely you were only allowed to use one device on the Wi-Fi. If you tried to...
"There are no rooms having beach view also beach at the other part and that too not lighted up properly and is dull as compared to adjoining Baga and Candolim beaches .The images posted are not chronoligical order pasted from here and there and made so don't completely rely on that"
"Extremely disappointed. The key card never worked so I had to go the reception every single time and ask them to send someone with a master key card. They replaced my key card 3 times but that didnt help. Meanwhile it was raining and the corridor ceilings were leaking. I found a dead cockroach in my bathroom. So overall...horrible."
"Clean room witch nice paddyfield view from balcony. Very nice swimming pool and friendly staff. Food options are nice also.
Short beach walk to Colva and clean beach."
"Staff needs customer service training. Not very helpful. Room is not clean. But location is fantastic.
Humidity from air conditioning floods up the floors. It’s high risk as someone will break their bones one day for sure. Breakfast is so so. Not very sumptuous. Variety is good but lacks taste and flavor. Overall not a good experience and definitely not looking forward for another stay. Sorry ☹️"
"The location is good, can be noisy all night if your room is at the front of the hotel. Rooms are not soundproof so if you plan a lie in you may get the noise from the pool area. Cleanliness can Definetly be improved, property also needs maintenance rather than excuses for issues. Some of the front office staff were really good but otherwise the the staff and Restaraunt’s staff were quite poor."
"I cannot rate The Astor in Goa high enough. We used Goa as a stop gap for our India holiday and it was amazing. I had an upgrade and used the Spa and Gym as well as the pool which was welcoming after being in the sun. The staff were fab, very friendly and considerate, couldn't do enough, always helpful. Food was also delicious, Ishani looked after us throughout, always with a smile on her face. Thank you to everyone at The Astor, hopefully return soon."
"Needs more attention in the service. Staff are coridial needs more training. They forget arrange something or other and we need to call for those.
Need to take care of interior lights, Television and Aircondition which needs regular maintenance "
"This a great place to stay if you have kids. They have lots of things to do for children. The staff in the dining area for breakfast is excellent. They are very helpful, friendly and attentive. Some of the areas around the hotel are a little beatup such as the kids playground. The property is close to a lot of shopping and restaurants. It’s about a 12 minute walk to the nearest beach. They food at the property whether you dine in our order room service is very good and fairly priced if on a...
