"The hotel is right at the heart of the city Villach. It has a special charm as the building is historic, but all facilities and rooms are brought up to standard and met our expectations. At 8:30am in the morning you will hear the church bell (two strikes to announce the half hour) as it is custom in many of the mid-town hotels in Austria. "The shower holders run down and came off. Unable to adjust shower height. A visitors dog was barking the entire time! So many dogs I felt it was a kennel. Had to pay for tap water during dinner. The hotel has been around for many years - still in good condition but time for renovations. Clearer signs of off limit areas for children.!!! Service was great. Friendly and helpful staff."

"Stayed in Junior suite in January. Room is very nice and comfortable, bathroom quite old and not so nice. Heating in the room can not be controlled, means you depend on the management to decide what temperature is the best for you :-( Service in the restaurant can be slow some times but the food in general was good. At check in they wanted to charge me for the room that was already paid through hotels.com but the next day the issue was settled. Some receptionists were new and therefore slow but...

"The owner was great, he was very helpful in giving us information about the town and what we could do. Breakfast was delicious and again the owner was always there to provide anything we needed. The property itself was clean and provided everything we needed. In addition, the hot tub was amazing and we were able to use it twice!"
