Our stay was unforgettable. Olivier and Nathalie are wonderful hosts of a very beautiful hotel with tastefully decorated, comfortable rooms. The dinners (table d'hôtes) were phenomenal with excellent wine pairings from the region. We also very much appreciated the recommendations on things to do in the vicinity and which scenic roads to take. We felt like we stayed with family. It was so peaceful and restful that we can't wait to go back and stay longer. Very highly recommended!

The team at Chateau Bonalgue went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Special thanks to Anton for giving us a tour of the property and for answering all our questions on the wine making process. It’s really fascinating ! Our room was quaint and cosy. And it was nice to have access to the large and modern living room 24/7. My husband and I highly recommend a stay at Chateau Bonalgue to anyone looking for an experience less impersonal than a hotel reservation.

One of the best boutiques hotels I have stayed in my life. The location is perfect just outside a winery. Astonish views. Beautiful pool. Amazing staff!! Walking 2 min to St Emillion old city!!! Perfect

We had a great visit. Our hosts gave us info for visits to Bergerac and Cadillac which were so much more interesting than St Emilion which is so touristy. We loved our wine tasting and they were willing to discuss all aspects of their vineyard operations.

Sylvie et Sebastien and Carla were excellent hosts. We felt so welcomed. Sylvie and Carla met us the first day with coffee and tea. They sat down with us and made sure we knew how the tram worked and everything Bordeaux had to offer. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The room was clean and quite large. The bedding exceptional and bathroom very nice.

Most of the amenities weren’t available but the beauty of the chateau and the kindness of the caretakers more than made up for it. If you’re looking for a quiet place to soak in the countryside, this is it. Serene, quiet and beautiful If you don’t have a vehicle be sure to stop at the grocery before heading in. Breakfast is provided but you’re on your own for anything else. The shared kitchen is easy if you’re prepared. I would absolutely recommend a stay at this peaceful chateau away from...
