"First impressions were slightly underwhelming, but ignore those, the hotel is excellent and the staff are great. The food was wonderful and the pool was lovely. To swim and watch kites and eagles overhead is a rare pleasure and now a glorious memory. Criticisms - the room tended to get quite hot and there is public transport but it’s a bit of a walk away, but those a minor criticisms. On the main question - would I go back? Yes. Gladly. "Oscars hotel is absolutely wonderful. The staff are beyond reproach, the rooms are extremely comfortable and the balcony view os perfect. The grounds are well manicured and the restaurant is actually too good. I had to leave otherwise I would have just sat in the restaurant eating all day and night otherwise. The chefs are artists. The food served is so perfectly seasoned that even for those who blew their palate out years ago will taste everything and not ne dissapointed. The house wines are perfect as well. The waiting staff are so attentive and professional they do not miss a beat. I will be staying nowhere else in Southern Germany from now on, providing they can accomadate me."
