"This was a real treat as room was amazing, dinner could be one of if not the best i have had. Really appreciated staff attendance and flexibility pushing checkout to 11, really felt nothing was a problem. Was surprised no sky movies or room service (but now i see how spread out resort is guess it makes sense) & maybe some cabinet food in cafe would be nice. Breakfast was nice but didn't think addition of 4 hot options was worth extra $20 & some tomato would of been nice, all minor. We will...

"Setting and hospitality was lovely, BUT mice running on counter in kitchen and through the ceiling during night kept us up, a lot of flies dive bombed me when trying to sleep, dead flies and mouse droppings to deal with. ALSO the steep stairs with no handrail or fall protection was a big concern and the large drop into the attic bedroom needs a step. "Good location Clean and warm Overall good. Bring extra toilet paper and dishwasher powder if you are staying more than a couple of days as only 3 loo rolls and a small amount of powder is supplied and not replaced during your stay. Shackleton restaurant had excellent staff and nice food but wouldn’t go there again unless they can fix the smoke coming into the restaurant from the fire place.
