"This is a beautiful 16th century hacienda. It is quite well maintained, but it is obvious that more money should be invested to bring it back to its former glory, especially the bathroom ceilings. But, guests must be aware that this facility is in the forest, there are animals, humidity is constantly present - this is a tropical area after all. "These are cute little bungalows in a beautiful tropical forest setting in a quaint village 15 min from the pyramids at Chechen Itza. The real gem here is Luis, the property owner and host. Luis greeted me with fresh juice and advice about visiting Cheche Itza and surrounding cenotes. He's a kind and gentle man and even broke out his guitar one evening. Breakfast was also a highlight! This is a great option for visiting Chechen Itza."
