"When we come to Aruba we usually stay Marriott. This time we decided to try Joia. It’s a new hotel. But that’s where the good things stopped. Staying most of the day under the trees. If by any miracle you see waiter passing by you better make sure he takes your order or you would have to wait forever for him to come again. Rooms are new and clean. However, it may take cleaning crew to clean your room whole day. Lots of people complained that rooms were cleaned way after 4 pm. "Celebrated my 50th bday here in March. We had an oceanview room, was very pleased with the view overlooking ocean, beach and pool area. Balcony was quite big! Really nice! Customer service very friendly and accommodating.They were on top of their game! Great choices for dining. Would definitely stay again but not in high wind season! The L shape design of the resort building causes the pool area to be super windy, not pleasant to enjoy drinks or swim in the pool, water felt pretty cold. Beach area felt a bit less windy, but it was a challenge to get chairs, seemed like you had to show up early to get them. The resort beach is pretty small to accomodate everyone.Other than that really enjoyed our stay! "
