"Beatiful location in the jungle with cabanas for rooms integrated into nature. Loved the room and private deck. Lobby and dining room were also very nice with wood interior fitting the area. Issues: pool was covered with leaf debris, jacuzzi was not working, bar was closed leaving it difficult to even get a soda or any drink, ping pong table is junk (wouldnt matter but they advertised it)."

"The a/c was leaking onto this light fixture, the room was nice loved the balcony looking into the lush vegetation. The restaurant was fantastic, breakfast was another story, you couldn’t serve yourself (buffet style) the cereal etc side you could but not the fruits cheese or ham side. The only eggs served are scrambled. The hostess the first day was not very friendly but day 2 and 3 this younger much friendlier hostess took great care of us!! "

"English speaking staff is very helpful with ideas and calling taxis. Pool very refreshing after a long day touring the falls. Dinning room was an unexpected surprise. Dinner was very good, service was responsive, and there was even live music that night that was very enjoyable. You are in the jungle and should be prepared for bugs (front desk does sell bug repellent, if you didn't bring your own)."

"We enjoyed our time at Sol Cataratas and wish we had stayed longer. The jungle setting provided atmosphere and we found the restaurant on site provided good meals and enjoyed our interaction with the serving staff (despite our lack of Spanish). The hotel was a base for us and we were picked up and dropped off on the tours we did though a walk into town isn't excessive and neither were taxi's if required. "Situated on large grounds the property is undergoing much needed renovation. The personal is very nice and they are doing their best to communicate and help. There are no surroundings. Need a taxi to anywhere. The pool needs to be cleaned. The breakfast was acceptable, dinner somehow limited in options. We found it a bit overpriced for the conditions "
