Cruceiros are everywhere in Galicia, stone crosses on a high stone pole having various significations. Typically with Jesus on one side and Mary on the other but this varies. Some will date back to the 14th century, some are as recent as from the late 19th or early 20th. Typically posted at intersections locals will tell you they keep away bad spirits and help you make the right choices in life. With the frequent rains in the region most of them look older than they probably are as the stobe has withered away but they still are remarkable little things.

"The villa more than lived up to expectations. Our family group of up to 10 people at one stage had plenty of space to relax, while the pool was a real hit with the children, as indeed was the table tennis table when the adults let them near it. The nearby beaches were superb and having a fun pizzeria within 5 minutes stroll was an added bonus. "

"Julian’s place is stunning. The house itself is great- very pretty and plenty of outside areas to sit. The setting is amazing in a lovely, peaceful forest but only 10 mins from the village. The highlights for us were the pool which was great in August and the peace and quiet the setting offered. "

"Hemos pasado una semana de vacaciones fantásticas. Éramos tres matrimonios con niños. La casa es ideal para disfrutar en familia. La piscina, la pista de pádel, la “discoteca”, la barbacoa, etc., hacen que el tiempo se te pase volando. Todo muy limpio y ordenado. Susana, la anfitriona, inmejorable; atenta en todo momento y nos hizo sentir muy cómodos durante todo el tiempo. Volveremos."

"Excellent location. Great view from breakfast room however it would have been nice if it was used as a bar area in the evenings given the outstanding view. The cafe on the main floor was excellent and offered a great option for breakfast as well. The 6th floor rooms have pretty water views but the floor above is the buffet room so quite noisy early in the morning. Rooms are basic but have everything you need. Staff is outstanding. No gym on the property but they offer a pass to a nearby gym which is very good."
