The check in process was quick and easy. The room was on the smaller side but it was clean and comfortable. The hotel was an easy walk from the central train station and lots of restaurants and shops. I would stay here again.

I didnāt expect how far from JR. It takes over 15mins on foot. I recommend talking a bus( comes one a hour) or taxis. However, there were some supermarkets around it.

Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast buffet was excellent, although only regular coffee was available. Room service provided by the attached restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. Handicapped access needs work. Steps only available at front entrance, no ramp. Highly recommend.

Everything was great. We stayed for one night then relocated to another ryokan in Aizu 50 minutes away for two nights based on other reviews. This ryokan was in a residential area and a short walk of the train station. The other was in a samurai town that required a short ride via taxi. Can take the bus with multiple stops or set up a prearranged ground transport that uses a van.

Easy to park. Clean room. Looks small from outside but itās actually spacious in the inside. The best part is the affordable price. Hotel R9 is the best!

The area and property were nice and clean. My husband and I enjoyed the hot spring baths and meals. The rooms and beds were very comfortable. We would be happy to go back again!
