A bamboo hideaway above the Ayung River. Mahajiva is all about atmosphere. The bamboo architecture is beautiful; the villa is secluded and far from Bali's tourist crowds, and at night the only sound is the Ayung River in the valley below. The outdoor pool was perfect after full days of exploring; the villa was clean and comfortable, with AC in the bedroom and reliable WiFi; and the Green School, Taani restaurant, Kul Kul farm, and Bamboo U are a five-minute walk away. Loved the black spiral staircase! It's open-air on the ground floor, with an outdoor shower and kitchenette, so expect a few critters and bring repellent. Ideal for couples and adventurous travelers who want nature and privacy. Excellent and kind staff. We'd happily return!
