"We had a wonderful stay at the Achill Cliff House. They are the friendliest and most helpful hotel staff we have ever experienced. More than willing to offer guidance and suggestions on activities and places of interest around Achill Island. Very comfortable and quiet room. The restaurant served an excellent breakfast each morning and our dinner in the dining room was fantastic. You cannot go wrong staying here for your holiday on Achill."
"House was spotless, cosy and warm. The owner thought of little things you may forget to bring with you, condiments, cleaning stuff ect. The house location is perfect, half way between Keem beach and Achill sound where you enter on to the Island. We had such a nice time there and hope to return next summer when the weather is better. "Our stay was unfortunately disappointing. Upon arrival, the walkway to the apartment was dirty, and there was a dead bird near the front door, which created a very unpleasant first impression. There was also a strong odor on the main level throughout our stay.
The apartment itself could use some maintenance. The carpet was old and stained, and the insulation was poor, so outside noise was easily heard from inside. The TV was not working when we arrived and wasn’t fixed until the following...
"Great location. Used as a base to explore the region for 5 days. Staff was great and the breakfast allowed you to order as much as you want. Excellent food. Highly recommend!!"
