"We could have stayed put on the property watching the activity on the harbor, birds and other wildlife. I loved discovering wildflowers and stargazing, but there is so much to do and see in the vicinity. Lunch on the Wharf is just a walk away. Schoodic Point, part of Acadia National Park, is close by. Ellsworth is about a half hour’s drive. Winter Harbor is not far, with the 5&10 and Gerrish’s….and you must eat at Chase’s.Pam Bridges is very helpful, easy to communicate with, providing what you need….even wood for the fire pit. We slept on the queen bed upstairs, which was very comfortable. Our only problem was that we both have to get up to get to the bathroom at night. So we prefer to have a bathroom on the same floor. If that is not your concern, you will greatly enjoy this place!It was so nice to be able to have our dog with us.This place is small enough for a couple, but it can accommodate a few more in a pinch, with a full size bed in the upstairs room along with the queen bed, and a pull-out bed downstairs. In warm weather. Dining for four can be in the screened in porch, but it was perfect for just us two.We wanted a small place in the Schoodic area, and this fit the bill."

"We have stayed at The bluebird several times in the last couple of years and we have no complaints. The bed is comfortable the water pressure is great everything is clean. But it looks like things are getting long in the tooth. The bathrooms, at least, need to be updated. We will stay there again for sure!"

"The location of the house was wonderful if you are looking to vacation in a quiet quaint little town. You have beautiful views of the fishing boats in the harbor and are not far from the local Schoodic section of Acadia."

"Great little cabin on a big pond. More hummingbirds than I've ever seen at the feeders. Loons. Beautiful stars. Clean cabin, comfy beds, lovely outside area. Nice breezes off the lake. Treats to greet us. And a fabulous place to be. You can walk to Schoodic mountain, and explore other ponds and lakes in the area, not to mention the breathtaking coast."

"This was our second time at this wonderful place. The location is great for Down East adventure and the house itself has a great yard. The house is beautiful. We and our dogs loved it and we will definitely come back again."
