Amazing place to stay! It is the little things that make this place one of a kind: like two suitcase stands in the room. The service felt like they were full time career professionals that felt like they really cared about the place and the hospitality. Dinner and breakfast was amazing! Castello Di Monterone is a small castle that has outfitted into an 11-12 room hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable with high quality bathrooms, windows, etc. There are lots of little alcoves, inside and out, to hole up in. Beautiful property, rooms were spacious and well appointed. Staff were wonderful and helpful, Paolo welcomed us and provided many helpful recommendations on restaurants and sites nearby. Breakfast was delicious, pasteries and bread freshly baked and staff very welcoming. Loved our stay.

I visited La Macerine with my wife and a couple of friends. The property is beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, I met Stefano who was a terrific host, very helpful and pleasant! The location on the lake is just a beautiful setting. I highly recommend for anyone touring in this part of Tuscany and Umbria.

Absolutely Stunning! The grounds and rooms are first class! The staff is friendly and helpful in all aspects during the stay. Peaceful and serene is an understatement. Food and breakfast at the resort is top notch. Other dining options near the resort are amazing. Al Baciamano and Seven Cafe are great stops. Close enough to Tuscany day trips. Will definitely stay again and share with friends looking for a relaxing first class stay and amenities.

Absolutely breathtaking!!! The rooms, the view the service and the location. WOW!! And Salvatore is an absolute gem. We were unsure of how to get there and so he told us to call him when we were nearing the hotel and he stayed with me on the phone and guided our every turn. He waited for us outside so we wouldn’t miss it. Talk about outstanding service. Every room is so charming and tastefully decorated and has the most beautiful views. And just a short and beautiful walk to get to the center....

Nice quiet hotel even though on the main street of the castle area. Staff was friendly, the food was excellent and the price was a bargain. The room was quite small but there is a common area where we could hang out a couple of times. Parking is by the hour in the nearby area so recommend you get the parking app, which was also useful in other towns.

Breakfast looks just like the pictures associated w/ the hotel. It's just an amazing sight. It's hard to choose your meal with this abundance of options. Additionally staff were helpful w/ bus tickets and information. "Old town" is quite a ways up the hill and worth every step. Pleasant gardens are also nearby.
