"To date I have had good luck with on line booking. This was unfortunately the worst experience I have ever had in a suite. We arrived and the lobby, which looks like it had been abandoned from an old hotel was dark and uninviting. There appears to be 2 downstairs floor and two upstairs floor approximately 12 units in the building. The instructions were to look for a lockbox at the unit door. We were not given a unit number so didn’t know where to look. The owner said that in 30 years no one...

"My stay was very good. The top floor corner suite had a great view of the marina and of the bay. The location allowed ready access to all amenities and things to see. The hosts were very accommodating and made the stay feel like a home. The glass of wine and snacks when I arrived was very welcome after the drive. The bed in the room was excellent. I had the best sleeps since I arrived on Crete. Knock on their door, take a look. You won't be disappointed. "

"The expectation was of a 4star apartment.The reality was a basic 2star! I realise it was a Cretan style building & have no problem with that but a few modern touches and some comfortable loungers etc would be nice.Crete is lovely and the people very friendly so we enjoyed our stay overall just not the hotel."

"We really loved everything about Vangelis Villas. Our beautiful, comfortable and immaculate apartment gave us the perfect base for our family holiday, and we felt really well looked after - although the apartments are technically self catering, towels, toilet rolls, etc are provided, housekeeping come in daily and there's breakfast/dinner and a bar available if you need it.
