"When we go to the property in the morning, the reception was not open, even though according to the hotel details it should have been. I called the hotel number and I think the lady was telling me that she had to visit the doctor and will be at the hotel soon. We went for a breakfast in the town centre and sure enough she was back and let us check-in early."

My wife is disabled and needed the lift the lift was broken, I presume that's why he was in a mood they took us to a lift around the back which we used then they locked it up , so we had go find them and get it unlocked . We have stayed here a few times before and the reception staff where great not this time of this is how it is now don't think I will be going again "

"No hand rail as such but rope rail on stairs. Stairs even but if you struggle with balance a bit of a problem. Breakfast extremely good.. homemade apricot and strawberry jam no too sweet. Apricot jam was outstanding. Continental breakfast well with the money."

"Fabulous find for an overnight stop. Castle has been beautifully restored. Welcome was great and our room was very large and lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Met Luis on checkout and he was charming. Highly recommend "

"I was told they had problem collecting my payment from Hotels.com, which is odd considering all my other bookings were fine. Had to spend a few minutes over the phone giving out credit card details, which wasn't ideal. I was allocated a room looking into the courtyard directly across from the breakfast area, which wasn't ideal."
