"This place was beautiful. The staff were amazing, the food was great, & the front desk guy was super helpful and patient with all of our questions and with recommendations. There is A LOT to do in this area. I would highly recommend staying here :)"

"This hostel is located in the middle of the city of La Fortuna and is in a fair distance to most of the attractions and excursions. the managers and all who work at the facility are welcoming and super friendly. get ready for a super fun dance night and happy hour offered by the facility team. in addition, they can schedule tours for you for a cheaper rate. we had an excellent stay!"

"We arrived and the place look abandoned and trashed. It does not exist anymore. No one there, the phones are not answered and we couldn’t stay at this place"

"We had a wonderful time. Hikda and Dani were ex eptionally gracious and accommodating, even when we misplaced our keys! I stay in many differnet types of lodging in Costa Rica, amd I bring tourism clients, and this one is now high on my list of places I must return. "

"Loved this backpackers! Super cool rooms, and the view is excellent looking straight at the Arenal volcano! Awesome pool and bar right on property and downtown is so walkable from the front of the property! "

"Great hostel situated in a nice neighbourhood, 5 minutes walk from the centre including the supermarkets and bus terminal (the centre is frankly not as pleasant as the suburbs). Rooms have secure key codes, and lockers are situated in the communal kitchen which is large, clean and well equipped. Everything was good. Would recommend."

"No internet and registration was rather difficult. The woman who appears to run/manage the place was insistent that we did not pay even after showing the confirmation email and booking page from Hotels.com. Our flight was early so we didn't get to have the breakfast but they were setting up for it when we left...so that happens (but I wouldn't count in internet when you're there). It was def bare bones and appeared clean enough."

"Despite being a little mix-up on room type, Adrian (the owner) did all he could to make it right and I had a very pleasant experience. Their hospitality was amazing and the room was comfortable. I had to work one afternoon and the internet worked great. The lounge/common areas were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you would need. The only thing I would recommend is that if you book through a 3rd party (like Hotels.com) to call and confirm your room type in advance. "

"A Hidden Gem by the River – Truly Magical Stay! I had the pleasure of staying at Boutique Casa del Río, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The location is absolutely beautiful — nestled by the river, with peaceful surroundings and a charming ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. The rooms are tastefully decorated, combining modern comfort with local character. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the attention to detail was impressive. I especially loved waking up to the sound of the river and enjoying my morning coffee on the balcony. What really made this stay exceptional, though, was the hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Warm, welcoming, and attentive — they made us feel more like family than guests. "
