""Hotel" with kind staff however they have control issues. WARNING: At the time of our stay this property does not alert until you check in that there is NO alcohol permitted on the property that is not purchased through them. This is more a Resort than hotel. This includes inside your own hotel room, obviously we would not bring our own drinks to the pool or dinner. If you like to have a drink in your bedroom when the day is done while you are on vacation. it is not allowed and you will be forced to sign a document at check in. The restaurant closes at 9 so if you want a drink you will not be able to. There is nothing to walk to at night so you will be forced to buy directly from the hotel any beverages. This company needs to change their listing to reflect they are a resort which forces you to spend money with them and only them. Rooms also need a deep cleaning. Food was very good, staff was lovely. Transparency is key and as business they are lacking."

"Clean but remember we’re in tropics, so lots of bugs outside. Some get in, otherwise. Simple place but most stunning views. For a few days hiking, st Anne’s volcano about 45min drive, a must hike. Moderate. It’s a sleepy place. Great wifi, can jet ski or kayak, sadly no time there left "

"Cardeau Residence was truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed. The lakefront views were absolutely breathtaking and the entire property felt so peaceful and relaxing. Our two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite was immaculate, spacious, and had a huge balcony overlooking the lake,waking up to that view every morning felt unreal. The restaurant on site was amazing and every meal we had was delicious. Everything about this stay exceeded our expectations. From the stunning scenery to the cleanliness and hospitality, it was the perfect getaway. We can’t wait to come back!"

"There is so much to see! Every corner of this property is worth a picture. This is a locally owned boutique hotel. It is beyond amazing. Looks like it’s been here for 200+ years! The staff is great, owner is extremely friendly and humble. I’ll definitely be back."

"I had to book an extra day because the food from the restaurant made me sick. The staff thought I was overstaying and made lots of noise outside my room. The front desk finally agreed to not charge me for the portion of the meal that made me sick. The doorman laughed at me on the way out."
